Repositioning capacity alerts

Some aircraft have to move.
Your cargo might fit.

After a charter, an aircraft may need to reposition toward its next assignment. When that planned movement aligns with your route, timing and cargo requirements, the operator may have room to carry additional freight under separately agreed terms.

Massif 348 monitors registered lanes for compatible opportunities. We alert you when a real match appears; we do not publish stale inventory or promise a leg that has not been confirmed.

No registration fee. No retainer. No obligation to accept an opportunity.

How we reach you

Need cargo moved now? This alert list is not a schedule. Use the standard charter request or call (689) 388-4893.

How the product works

Register once. We watch the lane.

The commercial value is not a public list of “empty aircraft.” It is a permissioned lane list that lets the desk act quickly when an operator opportunity genuinely fits.

01 / You

Register your lane

Tell us origin, destination, commodity, typical weight, timing flexibility and the contact point that should receive alerts.

02 / Massif

Match the mission

When repositioning information reaches the desk, we compare route, timing, cargo fit and known operating constraints against registered lanes.

03 / You

Review the opportunity

If it is compatible, you receive the route, timing, aircraft information available at that stage and commercial terms subject to operator confirmation.

The matching logic

A route alone is not a match.

Repositioning capacity only has commercial value when the operating details line up. We evaluate the same constraints that matter on a normal charter.

01 / ROUTE

Airport compatibility

Origin, destination, routing and any airport restrictions have to work for the aircraft movement.

02 / TIME

Window alignment

The aircraft's positioning window has to overlap your cargo's ready time and delivery requirement.

03 / CARGO

Payload & fit

Weight, dimensions, loading method, door configuration and other requirements have to be compatible.

04 / TERMS

Operator confirmation

Capacity, pricing and acceptance remain subject to the operator and the final shipment details.

Commercial reality

Why the opportunity can be attractive

A repositioning movement may already exist for the operator's operational reasons. When additional cargo can be accepted without disrupting that mission, the economics can be different from commissioning a dedicated charter.

Good fit

  • Recurring lanes where you can respond to opportunities quickly
  • Cargo with some schedule flexibility
  • Loads that fit the aircraft without unusual handling changes
  • Shippers looking for alternatives to a full dedicated charter

Poor fit

  • Hard delivery deadlines with no flexibility
  • Cargo requiring a specific aircraft that cannot accept opportunistic load
  • Shipments where permits or handling need more lead time than the leg allows
  • Any situation where the positioning movement is still speculative

What we will not claim

No stale legs. No fake inventory.

Important

Massif 348 does not present a repositioning opportunity as confirmed merely because an aircraft is expected to move. Operator information can change. A match becomes a commercial option only when the relevant aircraft, route, timing, cargo fit and terms have been confirmed sufficiently for the operator to quote it.

Registration is an alert service, not a guarantee of availability, frequency, savings or a minimum number of opportunities.

Frequently asked

Repositioning, without the sales fog.

Is this a public empty-leg marketplace?

No. The commercial product is a registered-lane alert service. Massif 348 does not publish unverified aircraft availability or stale legs simply to create the appearance of inventory.

Will repositioning always cost less than a full charter?

No. Pricing depends on the operator, aircraft, route, timing, cargo and commercial terms. A compatible repositioning opportunity may be attractive relative to a dedicated charter, but savings are never assumed until the operator provides terms.

How much notice will I get?

There is no fixed notice period. Opportunities can appear quickly because they originate from actual operator movement. Your registered timing flexibility helps the desk determine whether an alert is useful.

Can I register more than one lane?

Yes. Recurring or multi-lane shippers should register the routes they are genuinely willing to use. Each lane can be evaluated independently against future opportunities.

Do I pay to register?

No registration fee or retainer is required for the lane-alert service described on this page. Any eventual charter is separately quoted and contracted subject to operator confirmation.

What if my shipment needs to move now?

Do not wait for a repositioning match. Use the standard charter request or call the desk so Massif can source aircraft against your required timing.

Ready to use the lane?

Register the route you actually move.

The more accurately you describe the recurring lane and cargo, the more useful the alert becomes. You can register one lane or start with your highest-value recurring route.
